Teacher Clip Board

Before Kylee started school we made her teacher, Ms. Maurice, a small gift.
We made a scrapbook-clipboard with a flower pen.

First we picked out the paper to use and tore off the edges. We added stickers for the letters in her name and Modge Podged the clipboard. For the pen we took a regular pen and a fake flower from Hobby Lobby (my FAV store) and wrapped the two together with floral tape.

Of course we could not stop there. We made Kylee and Linden their own clipboards and matching pens! Another easy, fun project!

Canvas Project

I love preserving hand and foot prints. I just think it is so neat to look back at when the girls were babies and see how tiny they once were. So b/c the girls LOVE to paint on canvas and LOVE any excuse to get dirty we tried this little project.
On the canvas we have Rylin's feet and hands diagonally across from each other. Then we have Kylee's foot and Linden's foot diagonally across from each other.

This was a quick fun project and they truly enjoyed being tickled when I painted their feet!
Sorry the picture is somewhat crooked but you get the idea!

Wall Clock

This was a "Mommy" project. I saw a cute post about shadow box clocks on some website (can't remember where). So I decided to make a wall clock of the girls. It came out super cute! The only thing that I could not find b/c they were sold out was longer clock hands. So when I find the time (yea right!) I will head back to Hobby Lobby and grab some longer clock hands.

Dinosaur Fossils

We used a really easy recipe we found on the artist woman blog to make some dinosaur fossils.

First we made our dough: 2 cups flour, 1 cup salt, 1-2 cups of water.
we then rolled our dough into balls and flattened. Then we pressed our "forest" and our dinosaurs on the dough.
Bake at 350 degrees for 2 hours. Then you paint with acrylic paint. The picture did not come out too well for our final product but in person they were super cute!
The girls loved doing this and even made pink fossils, of course! Kylee even took one of her fossils to show-and-tell at school!

Glittery Volcanos

So we decided to learn about volcanoes the easy way. We gathered some vinegar, baking soda, soap, glitter and food coloring. We added the ingredients one at a time and then added the vinegar last. The girls had a blast learning about the reactive ingredients and of course the pretty, sparkly colors!
